Step into My Happy Place
A space for your journey to unfold, online, offline and out on adventures.

My Happy Place is a supportive learning space for people who want to understand their dog more deeply, build skills that make a difference in everyday life and have someone alongside them to help make sense of what comes next.

Rather than rushing from one training goal to another, we slow things down. Every two months we explore a new theme together, giving you time to understand what’s happening for your dog, notice the little things, practise what matters and allow the learning to become part of everyday life.

Because progress isn’t about doing more. Sometimes it’s about noticing more.

What happens inside a Guided Journey?

One theme. Two months. Time to explore it properly.

Each journey includes your Calm Briefing, Dog Detective observations, live Observation Lounge, a relaxed midpoint Calm Lounge, gentle prompts and carefully chosen resources along the way, and a Reset & Reflect at the end.

You’ll also have one private 20–30 minute Guided Check-In with me during each two-month journey. Bring one thing you’d love some help making sense of and we’ll explore it together, identify what matters most and find a simple focus to take forward.

There’s no fixed Game Plan to keep up with. Instead, I’ll gently guide the journey as it unfolds, sharing ideas, games and resources when they’re most useful. Because every dog and every human, brings something different to the journey.

  • Calm Briefing – Settle into the theme and explore where we’re heading

  • Dog Detective – Observe your own dog and gather the clues that matter

  • Observation Lounge – Bring those observations to life together

  • Midpoint Calm – Bring a cuppa, your questions, wins and wobbles

  • Gentle Email Prompts– Little invitations to notice, explore or try something new

  • Digital Den Resources — Carefully chosen games and learning when they’re useful

  • Your Personal Guided Check-In — 20–30 minutes, one focus and a way forward

  • Reset & Reflect — Look back at what’s changed and what you’re taking forward

This isn’t about keeping up

There’s no fixed list of games you need to complete and no pressure to keep up with more and more content.

Your Guided Journey is designed to unfold gently. I’ll introduce ideas, prompts, games and resources when they’re useful, giving you time to notice what’s happening, try things in real life and discover what works for you and your dog. Because sometimes the most valuable thing we can do is pause, observe and understand before deciding what comes next.

Your Digital Den

Your Digital Den is where your supporting learning lives, games to try, guides to read through, recordings and resources you can return to whenever you need them during the themed journey.

You don’t need to work your way through everything. I’ll help you find the resources that are most useful for where you and your dog are right now.

Want to explore a little further?

Your Guided Journey is designed to give you ongoing direction without filling your diary with more training. But sometimes you might want to explore a particular skill more deeply, join me for a real-world experience or simply try something new.

Working with Charlotte has been a rewarding and enjoyable experience for us. My wonder-pup has a disjointed start to her life and so the heart-centred dog-first approach has been the only way to go. A huge thanks to the Happy Dog crew - we are a community.

Charlotte is simply AMAZING! What she has taught me has been invaluable and I have a very happy pooch and I’m one very happy owner. She gave me little things to observe that made such a huge difference. Her knowledge is endless. Highly recommend!

My Happy Dog & me changed my life. Charlotte's research based approached changed the way in which I built my relationship with my dog. Charlotte provided real life, practical methods to use with my dog. My dog is a confident, problem solver who thrives in a range of different environments. Knowing how to set your paw pal up for success is key and Charlotte's approach, along with a plethora of resources really will support you in understanding your dog. It will help you build a healthy and happy relationship. Going to the pub, park, friends, holidays, being left alone are all covered. I would only recommend My Happy Dog & me.

Charlotte is a very good trainer and a lovely person to work with when you have a new puppy. We really benefited from learning from her; she taught us methods that we have been able to use with success for a long time now. I highly recommend her and won't hesitate to ask her to work with us again if we had a new puppy.

We benefitted greatly from completing a course of the puppy classes offered by Charlotte Steele at My Happy Dog & Me. These classes were fun and informative. The whole family can take part. These classes work on the language necessary to interact with puppy, so we have a happier puppy and happy owner! Investing in these classes is a small price to pay for what you gain out of the experience! Well worth it, along with an abundance of guidance from Charlotte.

My puppy is now 12 month old. I want to thank My Happy Dog and Charlotte in particular for the immense guidance I've received since I started your program all those month's ago. I've had dogs all my life but this is the first time I've taken training and behaviour seriously. I've ended up with a brilliant little girl and it's all down to your program and personal support and guidance. So big thanks for all your help.

First Class Experience - Charlotte was just the best supporter and trainer in guiding us through those early puppy years having never had a dog before. We worked through a 12 week programme initially and continued with the learning corner to ensure we kept our training going. We now have a beautifully well trained dog that can go anywhere with us! Thank You Charlotte x
