Where Calm Walk™ Journey leads

The Calm Walk Journey™ for many clients, this journey becomes about more than just improving a walk.

It’s about starting to see your dog differently, noticing what’s happening beneath the behaviour, feeling more confident in how you respond and moveing away from a sense of reacting in the moment.

Instead, things begin to feel calmer, clearer and more considered.

Walks become less about managing everything around you and more about moving through the world together, with a sense of connection and understanding.

For those who want to build on this, there are opportunities to step into real-life Calm Adventure Walk Experiences, bringing everything together in natural environments, with gentle guidance and support along the way.

    Frequently Asked Questions

My group sessions are designed to feel calm, supportive and considered. Because group environments can be a lot for some dogs, access begins with a Foundations step so everyone attending has a shared baseline of support.

This helps keep sessions fair, safe, and positive for both dogs and humans.

Group sessions work best when dogs and humans feel prepared.

    The Foundations pathway gives you:

    • time to build skills in a one-to-one setting

    • support around how your dog copes emotionally in outdoor spaces

    • confidence before stepping into a shared group environment

This isn’t about gatekeeping, it’s about protecting the experience for everyone involved.

Group sessions focus on calm movement, observation and learning how to be in shared outdoor spaces.

There’s no pressure for dogs to interact with one another and no expectation to “keep up”. We work with space, pacing and what the dogs in front of us need on the day.

Groups are kept intentionally small so that:

    • dogs have enough space

    • guidance can be shared without overwhelm

    • the overall atmosphere remains calm and manageable

Exact numbers may vary depending on the location and session type.

That’s very common and exactly why the Foundations step exists.

We prioritise space and regulation and nothing is forced. If at any point something feels too much, we adjust. Support is always available during sessions.

No. There’s no expectation to attend regularly.

Some people come often, others occasionally. You’re welcome to use group sessions in a way that suits your dog, your schedule and your capacity.

Comfortable footwear, rewards your dog enjoys and a longer lead if you have one (over 1.5 metres is ideal).

If you don’t have the right equipment yet, that’s okay, we’ll work with what you have and optional tools are available separately if you’d like them.

Places for workshops and group sessions become available once Foundations are complete.

Available dates and times are shown when booking and you can choose what works best for you.
